Women Better Than Men Even at "Manly" Things, Author Concludes

NEW YORK (WGHP)
An author and television host claims there is enough evidence to say that women are better than men, even in some supposedly masculine activities.

Dan Abrams, author of the new book, "Man Down," said more than 100 gender-based studies back up his claim that the weaker sex is actually stronger.

Abrams, also a legal analyst for ABC News, said the studies showed men made more mistakes because they took more risks, while women made fewer mistakes because they were more methodical and careful.

What specifically women are better at could be summed up by the book's full title: "Man Down: Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers and Just About Everything Else."

Abrams said he at first did not believe the studies but dug up many other independent studies that came up with the similar conclusions.

The book was released on Tuesday.

  1. In the past, most Americans (myself not included) have looked at woman as the weaker sex. So it doesn't surprise me that someone wrote a book about how woman or better. As men we deserve the treatment because we did the exact same thing to women. I believe it is stupid to say that one sex is better than the other. All men and women were created equal, and people are dumb to believe otherwise.

  2. Women may have been counted as the weaker sex in the past, but that is true in some things. It is just like women excel in some things and others don't. No matter if one sex excels in some things it is seriously not that big of a deal. Both were made to be treated equal, and nothing is going to change how it is supposed to be like that. We should be treated equal, and men are usually counted as the dominate sex because most men are stronger. There are some cases where it is differed, but that is how it has always been.

  3. I agree with Kayla and Hinx. Women have been typically stereo-typed to stay at the house with the children working in the kitchen all day, in the past. Men have always been the one who should be employed and work all day. Over the past few decades, this has changed. More women are becoming doctors, lawyers, police officers, and so many other things. This, however, doesn't mean they are better at it then men. It states in the Constitution that every man should be treated equal. Shouldn't this go for women? I mean, after all, without women where would men be? We have the power to give birth! Anyways, not going there because it could go both ways! What I don't understand is why men have always been the "stronger sex". Men are better at some things then women. Women are better at some things then men. In the end, it doesn't matter. As long as the job gets done!

  4. Yes, women have always been considered the weaker sex. Okay, most of the time women aren't as strong as men, but that doesn't mean they still can't do things just as good as any man. This book is a very good thing because it shows that women are better than men, in some ways, well most ways. I think its about time that women get some recognition for the work they do.

  6. I disagree with Dan Abrams. I think men and women are both good at different things. Obviously a man will most likely be stronger than a woman and better at fixing things like toilets. A woman usually will think more carefully about things than a man and they are usually better at cleaning and cooking. But these two stereotypes doesn't mean that a woman can't be just as good at fixing toilets, or a man can't be just as good at cooking. Everyone is different but should be treated equally, whatever the sex.

  7. Women are generally considered as the weaker sex, because of many things. They are the ones who raise the kids and do all the household. Men are the ones who do the strong and hard work. This book shows us all that women can even be better in some things than men. Maybe women don't have the same physical condition than men but I think both are powerful and should be treated equally. You will always find things men are better in than women and you will always find things women are better in than men!
Even though I think both sex should be treated equally I think it is good that a book like that one comes out! Women can feel good about themselves and about the "unbelievable" power they have!

  8. I agree with the all the comments above. I'm glad someone did write a book about women. Women have been treated unfairly in the past and it needs to get out that we can do some stuff better then men,but we can also do the same things men can do. Even if men do tend to be more stronger than women because that's how God built us. All in all we ARE created equal.

  9. I totally agree with everyone. Women are considered the weaker sex, but they shouldn't be just because they can't open jars or fix some things as well as a man. But to me it shouldn't be the sex of the person that says what they should be good at. Like saying just becase im a woman I should cook and clean and if I don't have to work I shouldn't. Or saying a man should work and provide for his family and be able to fix things. I think that if a man is a good cook but bad at fixing things, great. If a woman is a good mechanic and terrible cook, great. I don't think anything should be based on gender and I don't know why people ever thought that things should be.

  10. I agree with all the comments above. Women are just as strong or smart as men are. We were all created equal. We should not say one sex is stronger then the other. Both sexes are just as capable as the other sex. I am glad someone finally wrote a book on it. Women were not always treated well. It has improved greatly though since women have started to stand up for themselves. Some men and women are better at things but that does not mean we should be able to say that one sex is better than the other.

  11. I agree with everyone! We were all created equally. Women may posess qualities men do not, and vice versa. Men are generally stronger and better at sports. This does not mean in any way they are better than women. Women have been treated unfairly for centuries. I'm so happy I live in a generation where this is not the case. We are given the same rights as men. I do not agree with Abrams that women are better. We do different things than men so naturally we are going to be better at certain things.

  12. Dan Abrams book "Man Down" is a useless book. Why? Because if women really are better at everything than men and everyone agrees that we should all want every job to be done by the best person than we should get rid of men because we simply don't need them for anything.therefor Dan's book is useless unless you want to use it as justification for getting rid of men. women are already asking "Why do we need men anymore. this should send shivers up and down the spines of men because as a society we get rid of things we don't need. So thank you Dan your book justifies the end of your own gender. Now don't you feel you have really accomplished something good?
